A set of two flat and one round high-quality synthetic brushes for oil and acrylic paints, made with the innovative Chuneo technology by Da Vinci.
The set contains brushes №4 and 12 from the 7129 series and №2 from the 7729 series. The Chuneo Da Vinci range manages to combine the stiffness of the traditional Chinese pig bristle and the flexibility of the artificial hair perfectly.
Among the main advantages of Chuneo brushes is their easy maintenance and the affordable price to quality ratio. With regular care, these brushes could practically last a small eternity – they retain their shape, even, with intensive use, which makes them excellent for impasto, layering thick coats of paint, or dry techniques.
Their durability also makes them desirable for use on rougher surfaces.
Thanks to their plasticity, Chuneo allows you to paint with more water whilst adding details without the risk of ‘muddying’ the colours in your piece, from unwanted mixing between layers. By using the thinner brushes in the series you can achieve a high level of control over fine outlines and light shades due to their durable microfibres.
The Da Vinci Chuneo brushes are designed to mimic the characteristic rough texture and brushstrokes made by the pig bristles found on traditional Chongqing brushes (which have recently been rising in price).
These brushes allow artists who work with acrylics to experiment with new techniques and effects. Oil painters would enjoy a versatile brush that is both rough and soft enough to be used throughout the painting process.
All Chuneo brushes are made with a long handle made of lacquered wood (perfect for working from a slight distance on an easel) ending with a black tip and a nickel-plated ferrule, in which the synthetic bristles are placed. Since the bristles are synthetic these brushes are vegan.
