How We Package Our Shipments and Recycle Waste
Home » Uncategorized » How We Package Our Shipments and Recycle Waste
Since our business and the products we offer generate a significant amount of waste—which we do, however, recycle—we always make a concerted effort to repurpose it in the spirit of circular design.
This is also one of the core principles of this concept of sustainability: minimizing waste and reusing the residues generated.
Shipping Our Products and Orders
We redirect 80% of the items we receive to our stores in their original packaging, which we then pack into sturdy, reusable shipping boxes.
Art supplies ordered from the website are shipped in boxes made of recycled corrugated cardboard. Recycled boxes differ from new ones in that they have a matte surface without the original, slightly glossy protective coating. The packages are secured with strips of shredded corrugated cardboard, which we produce ourselves from leftover boxes.
Some of our customers may note that they have received their products wrapped in bubble wrap. Since the manufacturers we work with are quite generous with packaging materials, we always reuse them to avoid throwing them away —including for online orders.

Waste Disposal and Packaging Production
Only when we are finally convinced that there is no use for the unnecessary paper and plastic scraps do we sort the waste and prepare it for disposal.
In the rare instances when packaging materials are in short supply, we make our own. We also offer other retailers the option of producing such materials in small batches.
