Since last year (2025), we have also been selling cotton fabrics.

They arrive in rolls 150 cm wide, which we cut into 150×150 cm squares (there’s no waste here) and use them to sew gift-wrapping cloths (bochchi or furoshiki) in sizes 50 x 50 and 80 x 80 cm (where there is leftover fabric).
Vili from vilka.co.uk took the idea of saving every scrap—regardless of size or color—to heart.
Here’s how she did it (before we put a stop to the little strips for obvious reasons).

P.S.
We’ve saved the strips from the scraps; now we use them at the store’s checkout counters to tie up the cardboard rolls (just as we do with the strips left over from cutting the felt to size).

Here you can see a steel hoop with colorful ribbons.
The garlands hanging there are also made of ribbons.
