We’re welcoming the spring holidays, inspired by 12 fresh new colors in Amsterdam’s delicate pastel and vibrant metallic palette.
Pastel colors
Simultaneously soothing and invigorating , the marshmallow nuances blend perfectly with each other for truly delicious combinations.
We no longer need to rely on titanium whitewhen we want to achieve delicate pale yellow, ultramarine blue, lilac, minty, reseda-colored and bluish gray.
Ready-made shades help us maintain consistent colors in our paintings.
They are complemented by the pastel set from the same series, which contains similar portrait shades and more saturated pastel tones.

Metallics✨
With its metallic colors, Amsterdam is banking on boldness, brightness, and richness in yellow, red, green, blue, purple and black.
The bright shades are translucent, with a pearlescent sheen. This allows them to be mixed with other colors without dominating the resulting shade, or to be used as a “glaze” (a translucent layer) over another color.
Finally , Amsterdam surprises us with a pearlescent black, which is the only opaque shade among the six colors.

Both the pastel and metallic colors feature pigments that are completely lightfast and will not fade over time. The pastel shades are opaque, while the metallic shades are translucent. Each is available in 20-ml and 120-ml tubes.
What should we use them for?
Here are some ideas for experimenting: pouring with pastel colors or mixing pearlescent colors with iridescent to create unique, chameleon-like shades.
As with all Amsterdam Standard paints, this one has a light, creamy consistency that makes it easy to mix, blend, and create fine textures with a brush.
The possibilities for painting and texturing increase significantly when combined with the wide variety of acrylic paint mediums.
We can enhance the shine with a high-gloss varnish or clear epoxy resin.
