Why the blended bristle (Jianhao) is comfortable and “forgiving”:
- It absorbs hand tremors —unlike pure wolf hair (kolonok), which is so sensitive that it transfers every slight tremor of the fingers onto the paper, the outer layer of this brush absorbs uneven movements.
- Prevents streaks —unlike pure goat hair, which softens completely when wet and easily leaves unexpectedly wide streaks, the stiff core here keeps the bristles tightly bound and prevents them from “spreading out” under stronger pressure.
- The perfect balance —the soft outer layer absorbs vibrations and retains moisture, while the inner springy core maintains the shape and restores its sharp contours.
Appendix:
- Traditional calligraphy —suitable for writing Chinese characters, where control over line thickness, angles, and dots is required.
- Watercolor illustrations and outlines —the solid core helps produce stable, continuous lines without unexpected spreading of the ink.
- Sumi-e painting —perfect for depicting bamboo stalks, branches, orchids, and outlines.
Operation and Maintenance:
- Initial preparation (activation) – Before first use, soak the bundle in lukewarm water and gently knead it with your fingers until it softens completely and the protective layer of plant-based adhesive is removed.
- Line control —used with ink or watercolor, where varying the pressure allows for a smooth transition from fine details to thicker strokes.
- Cleaning and Storage – Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water immediately after use. Hang to dry with the tip pointing downward (hanging by the loop) to protect the handle and preserve the shape of the bundle.

Orders for an amount over BGN 100 have free delivery to the address or office of the courier.
For orders worth less than BGN 100, the cost of the courier service is at the buyer’s expense and is determined depending on:
- The selected courier company Speedy AD or Econt Express
- Delivery method (To office or to address)
- The weight and volume of the shipment
The amount of the courier service is calculated automatically by the system upon completion of an order.
A minimal difference in the amount of the courier service upon receipt of the package is possible due to discrepancies in the total weight of the package calculated by the system and the weight measured by the courier company.
