Cobra’s odorless satin spray varnish provides a durable, semi-gloss finish for oil paintings, offering protection against environmental factors and delivering a uniform finish, guaranteed durability, and unaltered transparency.
Made from synthetic resins and white spirit, the spray adheres well to the oil layer but can still be dissolved and removed, even years later.
To seal the porous surface of an oil painting, the paint must be fully cured —that is, you must wait at least 9 months to a year after it is completed.
It is particularly well-suited for impasto paintings, as it partially reduces the glare on those exposed to direct sunlight.
Directions for use:
- After shaking the bottle well, apply the nail polish in a light coat from a distance of about 40 cm, preferably outdoors or in a well-ventilated room at room temperature.
- To achieve this, it is recommended to spray in even strokes, completely parallel to the surface of the painting, in two crisscrossing layers (vertical and horizontal).
- It dries in a few hours, and if necessary, it can be removed with rubbing alcohol.
