This set from Dervent’s Chromaflow series contains a wide range of 48 professional, highly pigmented colored pencils that glide on smoothly and have a pleasant, velvety feel, thanks to their wax-based formula, and stand out on both light and dark paper.
With Chromaflow , you can use various painting and color-blending techniques that interact with one another to produce vibrant shades, with virtually no wax particle separation.
They layer successfully without the graphite sliding across the layers.
They are a good alternative to the more expensive Coloursoft brushes — with just a little pressure, they deposit a lot of color, thanks to their softness and rich pigments, resulting in deep, opaque colors, even on a black or colored surface.
They feature a slightly thinner shaft than other Dervent series, but still have a 3.5 mm thick core that can withstand pressure and frequent sharpening.
They erase well compared to other wax crayons.
The pencils feature a stylish black barrel with silver lettering, accented by a rim and a colored cap that indicates the color.
The colors in this series have varying lightfastness ( see the table among the images) – For maximum lightfastness, we recommend the Lightfast series.
