The roller only spreads the paint on raised parts, providing a clean print. It is easy to clean and detaches from the nickel-plated handle which also serves as a stand during work. The rubber used on the roller is resistant to water and partially resistant to oil.
Popular for achieving pale tones when making cards and scrapbook albums, by using brayers (brayer technique).
