Specifications and Operational Behavior:
- Optical effect and coating: The pearlescent layer contains fine microparticles that scatter light rather than reflecting it directly. Some of the light rays pass through the translucent coating and are reflected by the base color, creating a sense of natural depth and a soft, satin sheen.
- Adhesion: Due to the smooth pearlescent coating, standard water-based liquid adhesives dry slowly and may cause the surface to warp. For a durable bond without wrinkling, we recommend using a high-adhesion dry adhesive for glossy materials (such as Dr. Fan) or double-sided tape.
- Density and Stability: With a weight of 250 g/sq. m, the cardboard is stiff enough to hold its shape when used to make boxes, table signs, and freestanding decorations.
- Folding and Creasing: It is recommended to creasing along the fold line. This keeps the coating smooth and ensures a clean, even edge.
- Cutting: Produces a smooth cut without delamination when cut with a craft knife, guillotine, plotter, or die-cutter.
- Printing and Decoration: Suitable for laser printing, hot foil stamping, and dry embossing. Due to the pearlescent coating, inkjet printing requires a longer drying time for the ink to dry completely.
