A balanced palette of 30 basic colors of short, dry pastels without tax stamps, arranged in a luxurious dark wood box with a sleek design and a branded brass clasp.
The so-called “halves” are half the size of a standard pastel and measure 3.5 x 1.1 cm.
Rembrandt pastels are medium-soft dry pastels that provide control when creating precise details, sharp contours, and bold lines, while also allowing for smooth blending and coloring of large areas.
Their level of firmness makes them suitable for use as base layers over which to work with another color or pastel pencils without the paper’s texture becoming oversaturated with pigment, for painterly portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, or simply for quick and expressive sketches.
Each one is enriched with premium, finely ground pigments that offer high lightfastness and kaolin clay as a binder, pressed into a cylindrical form with a completely uniform consistency from one end of the pastel to the other.
This ensures the velvety feel upon application, the richness and purity of the shades—all hallmarks of the line— with minimal loose powder when applying.
Rembrandt pastels are a great way to transition to professional-quality pastels at a more affordable price.
In addition, they do not contain heavy metals and are among the safest pastels available.
