Often referred to as “florist’s crepe,” this crepe paper is designed for projects that require significant stretching and the creation of lasting curves. Its main advantage is its “mechanical memory”—when stretched, it does not shrink back but retains its set volume and shape.
Differences from standard crepe (60%):
While the standard version is suitable for packaging and flat decorations, the paper with 250% stretch is designed for:
Volume modeling: Allows you to create deep indentations in the center of the petals and strongly curve the edges.
Botanical Accuracy: The highly pronounced texture mimics the natural veins of plants.
Structural Stability: The density of 128 g helps large components maintain their shape without losing volume under their own weight.
Practical tip: To preserve as much of the volume achieved through stretching as possible, it is recommended to limit the use of water-based adhesives. The most suitable adhesives for this type of paper are hot glue or quick-drying craft glues, which do not distort the paper’s structure.
Application ideas:
Floral Design: Creating realistic bouquets, boutonnieres, and floral walls.
Festive Decorations: Making piñatas, garlands, and decorations for the photo booth.
Art installations: Suitable for theatrical props and costumes due to its malleability.
Scrapbooking and Gift Wrapping: Adding rich texture to gifts and handmade cards.
